spectator?

Does anybody know of a way to remove the gray bars or the names from showing up while in spectator mode with the current server settings? I'd like to try to get a bunch of small videos of the clr's playing for a CLR TF2 video (and possable CoD4) that i'm wantint to work on, but I can't even start it up if I can't get at least one of those two removed... help please?

Cant you capture it then just use some editing software to crop it out?

I could for the top and bottom bars, but not the names.

search around the steam forums? there might be a console command to hide them

there is, but it requires that the server change a setting, which isn't going to happen obviously.
