FFXI, had it minimized selling off junk and stuff i've had laying about to collect info on the log output for something.
Brought it back up and Apache bought a 12 pack off me :twisted:

Not to get off subject, but I always wanted to try FFXI. It looked like a great game, but Tails and I never started it, mainly due to the monthly fees. :(

its a marmite effect, you either dislike it or like it.
I like it, so I still play it, atm i use my debit card, so i pay up to 3mths in advance when i want, no 'OH NO forgot to stop the content id's to stop the payments', so if i know i wont beable to play for a month i just dont renew the 'contract' from that point.

its better when you got a steady group of players you play with thou, that I can say.

you get a mth free, atm SE have put out a 'starter pack' i think it has all the expansions except the new one... not sure never had a need for it. its like $10 or something (again not know the details).
then i think its $8 for your first character (essentually the char and subscription) and $1 per character after that first one... that a month... dont quote me on that thou lmao

Like i said, i like the game, so i dont mind the fees, its a nice change from FPS, and its not WoW lmao really dont like WoW.

Unlike wow you are not limited to 1 job per char, you can do them all on one char which i like, i got 2 chars, 1 play on, another i store stuff on and it has another major craft on it.

From what I've seen and heard about it, I think Tails and I would have really enjoyed it. But, Tails and I were wanting to be able to play together, so we'd be paying the monthly fee for both of us, which came close to $25-$30 last time I checked (a few years ago). It was just too much at the time, so we never got into it. :(
