WooT !! Camping update on my B-day !!!

Finally found the wireless AP in the campground and got a chance to post. Back is suffering from the cheap quality of the mattresses, but otherwise we are doing OK.

I made my first campfire last night (wife thought I was going to burn the park down) but we roasted marshmallows for everyone.

Another fire planned tonight to make hotdogs, so I'm at the Ranger Station to get firewood. Kids are anxious to go swimming even tho its 68 degrees at this time and cloudy.

Alright, thats enough typing. Kids are getting extreeemely antsy about my lack of interactivity with them, so I'm back on kid duty. Laters all, and thanks for the B-day wishes. Its been a lot of fun so far camping with the family (even over my B-day !)

Ughh, well we are back home a day early. :|

On top of the broken sofa sleeper, (and I got less than 3 hours of sleep last might), we had some four legged vermin visiting us at 4:00 AM this morning.

My wife asked me to camp out on the broken sofa and watch for our 'visitor'. He made an appearance at 4:30, but then disappeared.

I went to the ranger station at 5:00 AM to find an exterminator (hahahaa) but we ended up waiting until 8:00 til the station opened.

Regardless, we work on the 3 strikes principle, and the furry visitor was strike 3 as far as we were concerned. We were packed up and on our way home by 11:00.

Kids had a great time, but its rained the past two days so all chances to visit the swim park were dashed. Our plan is to return to Lancaster to take the kids to Strasburg to see the trains if the weather holds up tomorrow.
