I haven't actually read any reviews on it. And to be honest i never listen to reviews or hearsay anyway. I like to make my own mind up.
Hoping to see it soon. :D

It was.... interesting. I saw the 3d version, which added to the experience.
I wouldn't say it's the best film in history, but it did alright. They took a few liberties with the original, although I don't see how that really detracts from it.
It is very stylistic; not exactly like 300 was, but certainly unique as that one was unique.

I watched it in a regular movie theater... It was fine - the 3D animation was done well and I actually liked how they changed the original story to add flaws to teh heroic characters.

Heard from friends they saw the 3-D version and it was worth it. And it was good

Maybe some liked it. I was OK with the effects, that wasn't it. I just didn't like it in general. I stopped watching after Grendel, didn't even get into the other two fights...

Personally I thought it was horrible. I actually enjoyed the book, but this completely ruined it. Perhaps the most disappointing part was the fight with the dragon. In the book is was amazing, even though it was written in a type of middle English. I also think that it would have been much better if it WASN'T all CGI. That is just imo. My final verdict: don't waste your money in the theaters, maybe wait until you can rent it.
