spike tv has thier game awards comeing up and game of the year choices are.

You will see oblivion and gears of war nominated a few times. But who do you think will win GAME OF THE YEAR?

First, Spike forgot one very important one---Zelda: Twilight Princess. I'm not quite sure how Gears of War made the list when it came out like last week and the awards are what, this week or next? You'd think nominations would have ended some time ago, and that GOW made it in before release...so why not Zelda?

That being said, GOTY is Oblivion. But ask me again this time next week.

Also gears of war is in a lot of cataglories but so is oblivion as well. Those seem to be the 2 games i noticed a few times.

Oblivion is great. I am waiting for the add on and perhaps a new game in the series.

I dislike the Spike Game Awards. If the past shows have proven anything, the company who pays Spike the most will get GotY.

Oblivion. What an amazing game.

+1, I'm still playing it. I installed Oscuro's Complete Overhaul which has totally changed the dynamic and made the game worthy of another go. Much tougher bad guys, a whole slew of new factions, multi-sized animals, all around a pretty good mod that I at this point have to highly recommend.

I'm still playing it too...mainly because BF2/2142 and other games keep me from playing it much, so I'm nowhere near completion. :D

Bingo. I always liken the results to Jethro Tull's receiving the first Heavy Metal Grammy over PSM (Pre-Suckage Metallica).

In a real awards show, it would have to be Oblivion. Even though it's a sequel, it's huge, innovative, immersive, has tons of replay value, and will bitchslap your graphics card into next week.

I haven't played any of them but I said Oblivion because I heard its pretty good and I have played Morrowind and loved it.

Haven't played any of them, but I would guess Oblivion. I have to assume since it's been out for a while it will have the most followers. Not to mention those MMORPG's usually do quite well because they are so addicting. Exactually why I will never play one.

but oblivion isnt a mmorpg, it just a standard rpg :)
Oblivion is a good guess because it multi platform. Had gears been for pc as well then im sure a lot of older uters would be singing a different tone....

But i wouldnt be fast to count gears out either... seeing how its getting rated just about as perfect as perfect gets...
It was also pre named "game of the year" wayyyyyyyy back at E3.

But i think its gonna be between those 2.
