Gimmie and I played until 10pm PST last night.
I played until 1:30am PST last night.
Yeah, after you get used to the realism of the barrel feedback and etc, its pretty awesome.

It's still my favorite online FPS game of all time. There's a learning curve if you're coming from other games especially, but you can pick up the "easier" guns pretty quickly and it is very fast moving.

Besides the fact that it's a WWII game...the screen shots on the site look pre-Castle Wolfenstein. http://www.dayofdefeatmod.com/media.php And min system requirements of 1.2 GHZ CPU and 256 Megabytes of Ram seem to support that hunch.

Yeah, those screen shots are pretty accurate. The graphics are more than good enough for what the game is though, a fast paced FPS WWII game. I have no hitches running the game at full specs and personally I think the graphics are just fine. They could possibly "pretty it up" a bit, but really, who cares? I'm not playing a FPS game online because it's gorgeous, that's just more crap for the server to deal with.

I say go for it :2thumbs: It is a good game, def worth the 10 bucks. It is prob the reason I can control my rpd so well in cod4.

It is totally different than COD4. There are objectives that you have to capture as a team in order to win the game. There are set classes for each team such as a sniper class for both the Americas and Germans, an MG class, assult class, and a few others. There are achievements but u dont unlock classes like in cod4 or get attachements for your weapons. It is definitly worth $10. The teamwork for me is what i really enjoy in the game.

Why dont we just play War in Cod5 or Domination or one of the other games in Cod4 to get the same teamwork thingy goin.
Thats one thing I never understood about our server. We only play one game everytime. Seems like a rotation would be more interesting. I dont care for S&D but the other ones are fairly good and attribute to teamwork a little more.
I play War alot on 5 and like the action. You still have campers and guys that dont help out much but one thing I dont have to have a good ping for is layin on the flag.. hehe.
Just was wondering why we dont do it in Cod4 . And everyone has the game.

I would perfer a domination game mode or HQ but im not sure that those game modes are as popular as tdm. It could be a fun change of pace from tdm. I do know that Cain is putting a CSS server back up so that i will have alot of teamwork in it.:2thumbs:
