I went and saw it with my wife. At first I didn't like it, and in truth, I still think the directing was heavy-handed, and the story relies FAR too much on coincidence, but I thought that the acting was strong(Viggo Mortensen really did a great job, as well as Vincent Cassel), almost strong enough to make you forget critical plot weaknesses. I give it a C+.

I would give it a B. The fight scene you've no doubt heard about in the sauna is every bit as brutal as advertised, and much of the movie aside from that is pretty good.

However, the last Viggo/Cronenberg effort (A History of Violence) was so incredibly good, at A+, that even at a "B" this one was a bit of a let down by comparison.
